Bubble Tea – I asked my local bistro to put this on the menu.  We’ll see.  The San Francisco location of TenRen is fantastic and the ladies there have always been helpful. It’s a must-stop for every trip to the Bay Area.
Ginger Lemonade -  This recipe is easier than the others I know of because you don’t have to strain out grated ginger.  It is also nice to leave a couple ginger and lemon slices in the bottom of the pitcher for looks.

Buffalo Burgers – Last year, I received a calendar from my tribe that had traditional recipes in it, including a buffalo roast.  I was curious, so I ordered it through my local market, cooked it up, and it was very good.  It has a venison sort of taste.

If you are anything resembling a geek, you have at least a little interest in robots.  Just don’ t use the word “droid” because it belongs to Lucas.

  • Battle Bots – Self explanatory.
  • Parallax – education, plans, kits – if you want to learn, it’s all here.
  • ASIMO  & Video – Kids love this.  I find the implications are getting a little frightening.  Video not on the official site.

Let’s face it, everyone loves free stuff. Well, I think my kids are just as geeky as I am, because they get a real kick out of watching The 3 Stooges, Flash Gordon, and other vintage cartoons and movies, and we get them for free from places like the links below. (We also watch Star Wars: A New Hope on our projector and the kids know all the lines. Did I actually admit that in public? Ouch!)
